Sparta R-III School District Board of Education

President: Amy Forgey – I am a Sparta native.  I attended school at Sparta RIII from kindergarten to 12th grade. My husband Keith and I have 3 children. Our family is involved in a local church, as well as basketball, baseball, volleyball and rodeo.  I am privileged to be a part of an excellent community and school district.  I look forward to being involved in providing Sparta's children with continued opportunities for success.

Vice President: Jason Loveland – I am a lifelong resident of Sparta and a member of the graduating class of 2001. I am married to Tara Loveland, also of Sparta. We have two daughters who both attend high school at Sparta. I have been very involved with the Sparta Sports League and Sparta Youth sports programs. I am very excited to be able to serve our schools, the community, and of course our students. I feel that we have a very strong, dedicated school board and I am excited to get to work with my fellow board members.

Member: Danny Joe Rains – I am a lifelong resident of Sparta and a graduate of Sparta High School.  As a parent of 2, I understand the importance of a quality education. I am dedicated to ensuring that all children in the Sparta School District are provided every opportunity to receive an education that will prepare them for a successful career in any field they may choose. I have been a school board member since 2008. I am very fortunate to work with a great group of board members who strive to create a learning environment where all children can excel.

Member: Katrina Selsor – I have been a member of the Sparta Community since 2012.  My husband and I have two children, one which attends Sparta Elementary and the other attends Sparta Middle School.  I am a local Nurse Practitioner at OCH-Sparta.  I have a passion for serving this community. I am honored to represent the Sparta School District and be a part of a team dedicated to the success of our students.
